Sony has just announced two smartphones , the Xperia Go ( Xperia Advance in US ) and the flagship Acro S. The Go is a 3.5 inch Android 2.3 device which comes with a 1Ghz Processor and a new feature called a “Wet Finger Censor”. This is supposedly a sensor on the screen which is able to detect touch even under water / when your hands are wet. The Go also has an IP67 certification for its dust and water-proof build. An Ice Cream Sandwich update is slated for this device later this year.
The Acro S on the other hand has a 4.3 inch 720p display and will actually launch with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich , unlike its younger brother the GO which launches with only Gingerbread. It also has a Playstation Certified status, which should suffice for all your Playstation mobile gaming needs. Its also comes with a 1.5Ghz dual core CPU and a 12-Megapixel shooter!
Both the Xperia Go/Advance and the Acro S should ship in Q3 2012 if everything goes according to Sony’s plan , along with the Android 4.0 update for the Go.
